Fine, Be That Way: NewMeMD Fine Light Treatment NOW AVAILABLE

Tired of seeing wrinkles when you glance at your reflection in the mirror? Why not try Fine Light Therapy from NewMeMD as a solution?!

What is Fine Light Therapy?
Fine Light Therapy is a simple, safe and effective way to rejuvenate your skin using a panel of LED lights to treat a specific area of the body (such as crow's feet or the lines on your forehead).

How does it work?
This process, sometimes known as the “No Knife
Face Lift,"
was recently found to be useful in smoothing and diminishing fine lines and wrinkles. It can help smooth the crinkled or sagging texture of the face, firm and tone aged or tired skin and even help restore the youthful radiance or appearance of your complexion.

Best of all, it’s
- non-invasive
- requires no surgery
- involves ZERO harsh chemicals
- doesn't use painful lasers
- there is no downtime for recovery
- it's safe for most types of skin

Our skin and body tissues have the miraculous ability to absorb light and use it as a source of energy to stimulate cellular regeneration... Because of this, our Fine Light LED technology enables light to reach powerfully into the dermis layer of your skin in order to produce rapid and effective results.  These light rays can be beneficial to your skin because Fine Light contains no UV rays (unlike the light you get from the sun, which can be harmful).

As the Fine Light LED works its way through the dermis and into your Fibroblast cells (where collagen and Elastin are produced), it can start "exciting" our cells' powerhouses (mitochondria) into producing in some cases up to 10 times more ATP (Adenosine Triphosphate), which is a fuel our cells need for optimal function and regeneration.

As more fuel cells are produced from receiving LED treatment like Fine Light Therapy, more of our body's needed collagen and elastin are produced (along with other necessary materials for improving our skin's appearance). Collagen helps plump up the skin to fill in fine lines and wrinkles, while elastin helps to firm skin that has begun to sag. This rejuvenating process can result in a mirror reflection that quickly appears more youthful, smoother, healthier and more radiant!

How can I try it out?

Fine Light Therapy is now widely used for anti-aging on the skin and is quickly becoming recognized as one of the safest and most affordable ways to achieve a younger, more vibrant looking complexion.

Let's Get WAIST-ed! NewMeMD 's 5 Simple Steps to Being Swimsuit Ready

It's finally time to put away those bulky sweaters and sweatpants... Are you ready?!

Summer is right around the corner and will be here before you know it (yes, this is your reminder that the first day of summer is on June 21st, and this is less than 30 days away).

With that said, don't panic! Here are some easy tips from our NewMeMD wellness team to get "swimsuit ready" by summer:

1. Set Goals.

Be realistic. Set some healthy and capable goals for yourself. Do you want to lose weight, or do you want to gain muscle? Take measurements of yourself so you can watch your progress. Seeing how far you have come is the easiest way to stay motivated.

2. Lower Your Calories.

Focus on fruits & vegetables, while trying to cut out breads, pastas, sugars etc. from your diet. Keep track of your calories. Your phone has apps that will help you count calories, which means there's absolutely no excuse not to do this. It's just a matter of how bad you want that swimsuit body, right?!

3. Load Up on Water.

Drink a lot of water. When you think you have drank enough, drink some more. We recommend at least 80 ounces of water a day, but as the weather warms up, the number has to go up as well.

4. Stay Motivated.

Remember why you want to get swimsuit ready by summer: to feel comfortable in a bikini. You don't want to stress constantly about covering up. Maybe you haven’t worn a swimsuit in a few years, but regardless of the reason, it is crucial to stay motivated for the next 120 days to help you reach your goals.

5. Enroll in a Reputable Medical Weight loss Program.

Our physicians at NewMeMD have been successful at helping patients with lifestyle changes, which has in turn mirrored the successes of overall weight loss and long-term weight maintenance. Our services include: a comprehensive evaluation, weekly health monitoring and even nutritional support to ensure everyone's lifestyle change is a positive journey each step of the way.

73% of Americans are NOW considered overweight or obese. Being overweight is a medical condition that can strongly increase your chance of suffering from: coronary heart disease, type 2 diabetes, cancer, hypertension, stroke, liver or gallbladder disease, or even respiratory problems (and that's just naming a few!).

At NewMeMD we are not only here to help you go against this unfortunate trend, but also to make sure you feel good while doing it!

Attention Please: NewMeMD 's 3 Foods Linked with ADHD -Like Symptoms

Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) has been known to be a constitutional disorder present from the time of birth.

Children with ADD and their parents have difficult problems that generally don’t go away for a long time.

Parents of affected children often blame it on the different circumstances and substances that bring adverse effects to the condition, including medications like antihistamines (containing ingredients which sedate) and chocolates (which contain stimulants).

The dietary changes made in respect to food that can affect ADD is just an idea, but to date, there are no proven tests of any kind concerning food intolerance that have been concluded, nor have affected any child even if they have any of the inherited problems that exist.

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), although it may seem the same as ADD, is a much different condition. Recent studies have shown that 11% of school children have been diagnosed with ADHD. Also, 1 out of every 5 high school boys has received the same diagnosis, which will in turn represent a 40% increase for this past decade. A study from a recent article (The Lancet Journal), found that 64% of the diagnosed cases of ADHD were actually caused by hypersensitivity to food, and when the food was removed-- the symptoms disappeared.

Based on recent studies the 3 most common types of foods associated with ADHD-like symptoms are:

1. Dairy: This is at the top of the list of foods that can cause behavioral, focus and attention problems. This includes several kinds of milk, yogurt, cheeses, etc. (especially if these products contain genetically-modified ingredients or other synthetic additives).

2. Wheat/Gluten: These types of foods have been found to cause mood disorders among those who are gluten intolerant including: aggressiveness, anger, irritable behavior. Wheat/Gluten-laden foods include most breads, pastas & flour-based products (unless they are specifically labeled as GF, or Gluten-Free).

3. Food Coloring & Other Additives: Nearly 15 million pounds of food dyes are added to many foods catered to children each year, which cause behavioral problems, hyperactivity, allergic reactions and even a larger chance of having cancer. This refers to an array of products sold at your local supermarket (including fresh meats & seafood!) unless it is marked as additive or preservative-free.

With the large increase of health & obesity-related problems out there today... it can be quite scary to know that the foods we eat every day could be a contributing factor to some of these medical conditions.

Looking for the perfect gift for that wellness-minded mom? Good news... You're in luck!

Our NewMeMD Mother’s Day gift guide features the latest healthy living goodies (along with a couple of surprising discounts too!) on many of our programs.

Here are 4 great healthy living ideas for you to choose from...

1) Cellulite-Reducing Lipo-Light Treatment
This is one of our most advanced, slimming and toning programs, as well as the latest treatment for non-invasive body contouring solutions. Schedule Mom her first Lipo-Light treatment for Mother's Day and watch her lose inches with each and every session that follows!

2) Waistline-Whittling Body Wraps
These particular spa treatments at NewMeMD are specially-formulated mineral body wraps to help women lose inches across many areas of the body, such as those flabby arms or the "muffin top" you may hear Mom complaining about!

3) Youth-Restoring Infrared Sauna Sessions
Infrared Sauna treatments at NewMeMD are very effective tools for natural healing and preventive wellness. The infrared lighting used in our booths has the ability to penetrate human tissue, which can produce a host of anti-aging benefits for both women as well as men. How about giving the most important woman in your life an enhancement to overall healthy living (she will LOVE it)?!

4) Whole Body Vibration Therapy
Whole Body Vibration (WBV) Therapy is a new method that's been widely used for losing weight and staying fit. How does it work? Whole body training involves Mom standing or sitting on our vibrating platform as the machine continually pulses. These vibrations force her muscles to contract, which can result in more calories burned for Mother (compared to a traditional cardio or weight training workout).

But what if you're NOT shopping for a Mother's Day gift but would like to take advantages of our current promotions anyway? That's okay!

Just mention this blog at your next NewMeMD appointment to receive:

- 4 energy-boosting Methyl-B12 shots for only $25

or

- a bottle of NewMeMD Cleanse supplements combined with a bottle of our Ultra Lean with Garcinia product for only $40 instead of $51

So if you're stumped as to just what to get Mom in order show your appreciation this Mother's Day, why not give her the gift of wellness? After all, good health lasts way longer than fresh flowers and is much more beneficial than a box of chocolates, right?!

Here's to all the moms out there... We love you!
