With a little creativity in the kitchen, you can enjoy foods that are just as delicious as their original (yet calorie-dense and fat-laden, might we add) versions, sans the guilt!
Here's a yummy new hCG recipe from our NewMeMD wellness team to try out for dinner this week:
hCG -Friendly Honey Mustard Chicken
Ingredients
- 400 grams of boneless skinless chicken breasts (or tenderloins)
- 3 medium carrots, sliced
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 1 ½ tablespoons of honey
- 3 tablespoons of mustard
- 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
- 2 heads of garlic, peeled
- salt and pepper to taste
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 425.
2. In a shallow pan, toss carrots with oil, salt and pepper.
3. Nestle peeled garlic cloves within veggies and scatter the rosemary on top as well.
4. Arrange chicken among the vegetables and bake uncovered for 30 minutes.
5. While chicken is baking, stir mustard and honey together in a bowl.
6. After half an hour, remove pan from the oven and carefully place the chicken in a new dish.
7. Spread honey mustard mixture over chicken.
8. Stir in vegetables with chicken & honey mustard mixture and return pan to the oven.
9. Bake an additional 10 to 20 minutes (until the chicken is cooked and veggies are tender).
10. Cool down, serve and enjoy eating hCG-friendly (makes 4 servings)!
